The Omemee portion of the Olympic Torch Relay began at Hughes Street and ended at Highway 7 just past Sibley Avenue. From this point, the Torch Relay convoy continued west along Hwy. 7 to Lindsay.

Live entertainment took place in Lindsay, beginning at 10:45. The main stage celebrations, located downtown, began with a music video produced by the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, followed by a variety of performance by local schools and organizations. Local country music artist Madison Kozak will sing O Canada.

The Olympic Flame arrived in Lindsay shortly before 12:00 noon.
