Construction is moving along here at SYPS. Currently, the daycare portion of the addition has footings in the ground and frost walls are going up. The Kindergarten classrooms at the back are being prepared with bulldozing and digging rocking and rolling. It is an exciting construction site to be seen! We can’t wait to watch the progress over the next few months. Many of you may have noticed the temporary parking lot created for contractors at the corner of Walnut and Deane. Over the next few weeks, this lot will be used by the construction crew that have been parking in the current construction area. With their space quickly dwindling, they are in need of different parking spaces.
Below, please find the plans for the new classrooms and daycare center. Note that the addition is bolded in the first image, and shadowed in the second. We will update “The Construction Zone” bi-weekly as progress is made.
