From May 14 to 16, V.K. Greer Memorial Public School (VKG) hosted the musical production of Fun on 42nd Street.
This entertaining story is set during the depression and is a spoof of a backstage musical including a down-on-his-luck director, a temperamental star, gangsters, dancers, seamstresses, and a group of clowns.
Over the past five months, four teachers and 68 students in Grades 2 to 8 have been working hard to make this performance possible – from tryouts, to rehearsals, and set building – the group put on three incredible, full house performances!
“The arts are an important piece of our culture at VKG and this production did not disappoint!” said principal, Kelli Gates.
